Before incorporation as a town in 1985, Trophy Club had its origins in 1973, when developers approached the Westlake council regarding the possibility of constructing a housing development center around a country club. Ben Hogan, one of the greatest golfers in history, was commissioned to design the golf course, which was expanded in 1983 to 27 holes. Trophy Club is savored by its resident community of avid cyclists, joggers, and those out for an evening stroll. The area offers some of the most complete tennis and golf facilities available anywhere. The communities of Colleyville, Grapevine, Keller, Southlake and Trophy Club lie in the tri-county triangle where Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties meet. The communities, most of which started as agricultural areas, offer convenience Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Today, these towns, which retain their unique atmospheres, are a popular choice for buyers who want the convenience of a Mid-Cities location and the serenity of life in the country.
